Raymarine ACU-300 Solenoid Actuator Control Unit

The Raymarine ACU-300 Solenoid Actuator Control Unit, SKU E70139, is an Evolution autopilot drive controller for compatible solenoid-controlled hydraulic steering and constant-running hydraulic pumps. It manages steering solenoids and bypass valves rather than directly powering a reversible motor or hydraulic pump. This is an actuator control unit only and requires a compatible EV-1 sensor core, p70-series control head, SeaTalkng network, steering valves, hydraulic equipment, and complete vessel installation.

The ACU-300 operates from 12V or 24V DC and provides up to 5A continuous output for compatible solenoid drive circuits, plus up to 1.8A for a bypass valve supply. It is intended for dry protected bulkhead mounting, weighs approximately 2.2 kg, and uses an IPX2 drip-resistant enclosure. System Integration

The ACU-300 is not intended for direct control of a reversible hydraulic pump, wheel drive, tiller drive, linear actuator, or rotary mechanical drive. It is specifically intended for steering systems where a constant-running hydraulic pump is controlled through solenoid valves. Verify that the vessel has the appropriate valve arrangement, electrical characteristics, pressure and flow design, bypass system, and safety provisions.

Virtual Rudder Feedback may be available in compatible Evolution configurations, but large-vessel and solenoid-controlled systems can require a physical rudder-feedback sensor. Confirm the required feedback method, valve wiring, control logic, and vessel steering-gear requirements before installation.
