The Raymarine Quantum 18-inch Wireless CHIRP Radome combines a compact 20W dome, Wi-Fi or RayNet connectivity, and up to 24 NM of instrumented range for boaters monitoring traffic, shorelines, and weather during coastal runs or nighttime returns. Need a low-draw radar for a smaller boat or sailboat installation? Standard Quantum delivers 24 RPM scanning, MARPA support, and a 4.9° horizontal beam in a 12.3 lb radome.
Integration
The Quantum requires a compatible Raymarine MFD for radar display and control. Radar video uses Wi-Fi or RayNet Ethernet, while SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 can provide compatible GPS, heading, AIS, autopilot, and sensor data. MARPA and radar overlay require compatible position and heading data.
The 24 NM value is an instrumented range, not guaranteed real-world detection distance. Antenna height, target size, sea state, rain, weather, clutter, radar settings, and installation quality affect practical performance. Radar is a navigation aid and does not replace proper lookout, safe speed, official charts, or navigation-rule compliance.
