Extend thermal and visible observation farther from the boat with the FLIR M364C LR, a stabilized dual-payload IP camera designed for long-range viewing. Its 640 × 512 thermal core and HD visible camera work together to provide heat contrast plus visual detail when scanning shorelines, traffic, docks, and activity in darkness, haze, or low-light conditions. Need more reach than a standard thermal camera can provide? The M364C LR adds long-range optics, pan-and-tilt control, gyro stabilization, and network video integration for compatible marine displays.

Integration

The M364C LR requires a compatible MFD, monitor, or IP video viewer; it is not a standalone chartplotter, radar, or GPS receiver. Ethernet carries video, while NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 can supply compatible heading, position, and control data. Verify IP-video protocol support, network bandwidth, display compatibility, and PTZ-control requirements before installation.

Thermal imaging detects heat differences rather than confirming object identity. Its effectiveness changes with distance, humidity, atmospheric conditions, target temperature, water temperature, sea state, rain, spray, and lens cleanliness. Treat thermal and visible video as supplemental awareness tools alongside radar, charts, navigation lights, sound signals, and visual watchkeeping.

Before Ordering

Confirm compatible MFD/monitor support, Ethernet video protocols, NMEA integration needs, 12V/24V power capacity, maximum heater-load allowance, mounting orientation, full PTZ clearance, and cable-routing requirements before ordering.
