FLIR MD-324 Static Thermal Marine Navigation Camera
Detecting unlit floating hazards in total darkness down to 0 Lux, the FLIR MD-324 thermal camera captures 320×240 VOx thermal video across a 24-degree horizontal field of view, drawing 1.0A over 12V or PoE at 3.0 lbs.
- 320×240 VOx core detects unlit objects
- 24-degree field of view tracks channels
- Power over Ethernet simplifies single-cable wiring
- IPX7 weatherproof dome survives heavy washdowns
Improve fixed-direction thermal awareness on a compact marine installation with the FLIR MD-324 Static Thermal Navigation Camera. Its 320 × 240 VOx thermal core, 24° horizontal field of view, and 19 mm lens give boaters a practical way to observe heat contrast ahead of the vessel, along a dock, or around a fixed boarding area in darkness or reduced visibility. Need thermal video without the size and moving parts of a pan-and-tilt turret? The MD-324 supports H.264/MJPEG IP streaming, analog video output, and PoE or 12V DC power in a weatherproof fixed-mount housing.
Integration
The MD-324 requires a compatible MFD, monitor, NVR, or IP-video viewer. It is not a chartplotter, radar, GPS receiver, NMEA 2000 device, or standalone recording system. Confirm whether the installation will use H.264/MJPEG Ethernet video or analog output, along with display compatibility, PoE availability, and required adapters.
Thermal imaging detects heat contrast rather than guaranteeing object identification. Weather, humidity, rain, sea spray, water and air temperature, target size, range, lens condition, and installation height affect practical visibility. Use it as an additional awareness tool alongside radar, charts, navigation lights, sound signals, proper watchkeeping, and safe speed.
Before Ordering
Confirm monitor or MFD video compatibility, desired IP versus analog output, PoE or 12V power method, 24° field-of-view suitability, fixed mounting position, cable route, and needed F-Type/BNC or Ethernet accessories before ordering.
