Build a high-power Furuno open-array radar installation with the Furuno DRS25AX 25 kW UHD Digital Radar and 4-foot array. The magnetron-based X-Class scanner combines a 25 kW transmitter with a 1.9° beam, giving larger vessels and serious offshore operators a traditional high-output radar option for long-range traffic, weather, and shoreline observation. Need a 4-foot scanner that can pair with a compatible NavNet system? The DRS25AX supports UHD digital processing, dual-range operation, target tracking, and up to 96 NM of instrumented range.

Integration

The DRS25AX requires a compatible Furuno NavNet display, Furuno Ethernet network, correctly sized 24V power circuit, and suitable navigation sensors. Heading and position sources are required for target tracking, radar overlay, and stabilized display modes where supported. Confirm display software, cable lengths, radar network ports, and external power-supply requirements before installation.

The 96 NM figure is an instrumented range, not a guarantee of target detection. Performance varies with target size, antenna height, rain, weather, sea clutter, radar settings, vessel motion, and installation quality. Radar remains a navigation aid and does not replace lookout duties, safe speed, charts, or navigation-rule compliance.

Before Ordering

Confirm compatible Furuno NavNet MFD support, available Furuno Ethernet connection, 24V DC capacity, 4-foot array clearance, platform strength, required radar cables, heading/GPS sensor configuration, and professional installation requirements before ordering.
