Integration
The DRS6AX requires a compatible Furuno NavNet MFD and Furuno Ethernet connection for radar display and control. NMEA 2000 can supply GPS, heading, AIS, autopilot, and other vessel-sensor data, but radar video is carried through Ethernet. Target tracking and radar overlay require compatible heading and position inputs.
The 64 NM figure is an instrumented range, not a guaranteed target-detection distance. Actual results depend on array height, target size, weather, rain, sea clutter, vessel motion, radar settings, and the quality of the radar installation.
