The Furuno GP1871F is a seven-inch GPS chartplotter and fish finder with a built-in 1 kW single-channel CHIRP sonar. It combines a sunlight-viewable multi-touch display, internal GPS receiver, navigation functions, and RezBoost signal processing in one compact multifunction unit. A separately selected compatible transducer is required for depth, fish-finder, and CHIRP sonar operation.

The GP1871F supports C-MAP and Navionics chart cards, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity, built-in Wi-Fi, and optional connection to compatible Furuno DRS4W wireless radar. It stores up to 30,000 waypoints and 1,000 routes, includes two microSD card slots, and supports integration with compatible Furuno NavPilot systems. Chart products, transducers, radar, network accessories, and installation hardware are separate requirements.

System Integration

The GP1871F requires separately selected C-MAP or Navionics chart cards and a compatible transducer. Chart coverage, premium features, update access, and subscription requirements depend on the chosen chart product and geographic region. Match the transducer to required CHIRP or conventional sonar capability, hull material, deadrise, mounting type, operating depth, vessel speed, and connector compatibility.

The unit supports compatible Furuno NavPilot control, NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 navigation-data sharing, and DRS4W wireless-radar connection. These functions require the respective compatible equipment, correct network configuration, power supply, and software support. Electronic navigation aids and sonar do not replace official charts, safe navigation practices, or a proper lookout.

Before Ordering

Confirm required chart format and region, selected compatible transducer, hull and transducer mounting method, CHIRP and depth requirements, GPS source, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 network needs, NavPilot or radar integration requirements, 12V or 24V supply, seven-inch helm mounting space, rear clearance, microSD chart-card requirements, and complete installation components before purchase.
