The Furuno XN12A/4 4 Foot Open Array Radar Antenna is an open-array radiator bar for compatible Furuno DRS and commercial radar pedestals. It is an antenna-only component and must be paired with a matching Furuno pedestal, transmitter, scanner drive, radar cable, display or processor, power system, and mounting platform. The four-foot array provides a narrow horizontal beam pattern for compatible Furuno marine radar systems.

The antenna measures approximately 1,219 mm, or four feet, and weighs approximately 5 kg. Its listed 1.9-degree horizontal beamwidth can improve angular target separation when paired with the appropriate scanner. Output power, rotation speed, maximum instrumented range, radar technology, display compatibility, target tracking, and network functions depend entirely on the selected Furuno pedestal and complete radar system.

Radar Integration

This radiator must be paired with a compatible Furuno radar pedestal and supported display or radar processor. It does not transmit radar energy or supply radar video by itself. Radar-video networking, GPS, heading, ARPA, target tracking, and radar-overlay functions depend on the complete Furuno radar system and the connected compatible equipment.

Confirm the exact Furuno scanner model, pedestal gear drive, antenna attachment method, compatible display, radar cable, power requirements, and heading source before purchase. Radar is a navigation aid and does not replace a proper lookout, safe speed, official charts, local notices, or collision-regulation compliance.

Warranty and Saltwater Care

Furuno warranty coverage varies by region, distributor, proof of purchase, commissioning status, installation method, and intended use. Confirm the applicable local warranty terms, exclusions, and authorized-service requirements before purchase.

The antenna is designed for marine exposure, but long-term resistance to saltwater corrosion depends on correct mounting, drainage, fastener selection, inspection, and maintenance. Rinse salt deposits with fresh water where appropriate, inspect the radiator, pedestal connection, fasteners, and mounting platform regularly, and use compatible marine-grade hardware plus appropriate isolation methods to reduce galvanic-corrosion risk.

Before Ordering

Confirm the exact compatible Furuno pedestal, radar scanner, display or processor, radar cable, antenna attachment method, four-foot rotation clearance, platform strength, wind-load requirement, mounting height, personnel and compass-safe-distance requirements, and qualified installation requirements before purchase.
