Garmin GMR Fantom 6 Antenna Array Only – Black

The Garmin GMR Fantom 6 Foot Open Array Antenna in Black is a replacement antenna radiator for compatible Garmin Fantom open-array radar pedestals. This six-foot black antenna array is not a complete radar system and does not include a pedestal, transmitter, display, radar power cable, Garmin Marine Network cable, mounting platform, heading sensor, or GPS source. When paired with a compatible Fantom pedestal, its narrow 1.25-degree horizontal beamwidth supports the antenna pattern used by the completed radar scanner.

The antenna measures approximately 193.8 cm, or 76.3 inches, long and weighs approximately 7.3 kg, or 16 lb. It is designed for compatible Garmin Fantom 56, Fantom 126, and other approved six-foot open-array pedestal configurations. Transmit power, instrumented range, Doppler capability, rotation speed, Bird Gain, MARPA, and radar features depend on the selected pedestal and compatible Garmin display system.

Radar Integration

This antenna must be paired with a compatible Garmin Fantom pedestal and a supported Garmin chartplotter or MFD connected through Garmin Marine Network or Garmin BlueNet. NMEA 2000 can provide compatible heading, GPS, AIS, autopilot, and sensor data to the completed system but does not carry radar video.

The antenna alone does not transmit radar energy, receive radar returns, display targets, or provide Doppler, MARPA, radar-overlay, or navigation functions. Radar is a navigation aid and does not replace a proper lookout, safe speed, official charts, local notices, or collision-regulation compliance.

Warranty and Saltwater Care

Rinse salt deposits with fresh water where appropriate, inspect the radiator surface, pedestal joint, attachment hardware, fasteners, and mounting platform regularly, and use compatible marine-grade hardware plus approved isolation methods to reduce galvanic-corrosion risk.
