The Raymarine ACU-100 Actuator Control Unit is a compact 12V drive controller for Raymarine Evolution autopilot systems using a wheel drive, tiller drive, or Type 0.5 hydraulic pump. It provides the main power and drive electronics between a compatible steering actuator, EV-1 sensor core, p70-series control head, and the SeaTalkng network. This is an actuator control unit only, not a complete autopilot system.
The ACU-100 provides up to 7A continuous drive output and operates from 10.8V to 15.6V DC. It measures 180 mm wide by 140 mm high by 52 mm deep, weighs 0.6 kg, and requires dry internal mounting. A SeaTalkng spur-to-bare-wire cable is supplied, while the selected steering drive, EV-1 sensor, control head, power circuit, and network components must be added separately.
System Integration
The ACU-100 requires a compatible EV-1 sensor core, p70s or p70Rs control head, SeaTalkng network, and correctly matched wheel, tiller, or Type 0.5 hydraulic drive. It must not be used with a Type 1 or larger hydraulic pump, high-current linear drive, rotary drive, or actuator that exceeds its 7A continuous output rating.
Select the steering actuator based on the vessel steering type, displacement, drive current, cylinder volume where relevant, and manufacturer-approved Evolution compatibility. Use a higher-capacity ACU when the selected drive requires more than 7A continuous output.
