Raymarine Cyclone 3 Open Array Only

The Raymarine Cyclone 3 Foot Open Array Only is a replacement or upgrade antenna radiator for compatible Raymarine Cyclone and Cyclone Pro radar pedestals. This three-foot open-array component is not a complete radar system: it does not include a pedestal, radar transmitter, power cable, data cable, chartplotter, or mounting platform. When installed with a compatible pedestal, the array provides the radar beam pattern and rotating antenna element for the complete scanner assembly.

The radiator measures approximately 1,027 mm, or 40.4 inches, long and weighs approximately 4 kg, or 8.8 lb. It is rated for wind speeds up to 100 knots and provides a listed 2.83-degree horizontal beamwidth with an 18-degree vertical beamwidth. Radar output, range, Doppler capability, Bird Mode, rotation speed, ARPA performance, and other functions depend on the selected 55W Cyclone or 110W Cyclone Pro pedestal.

Radar Integration

This array must be paired with a compatible Raymarine Cyclone or Cyclone Pro radar pedestal and a supported Raymarine multifunction display connected through RayNet Ethernet. NMEA 2000 or SeaTalkng may provide heading, GPS, AIS, and sensor data to the complete radar system, but radar video and scanner control use RayNet Ethernet.

ARPA and radar-overlay functions require compatible heading and position data where applicable. The array alone does not provide radar transmission, target detection, radar display, Doppler functions, or navigation data. Radar is a navigation aid and does not replace a proper lookout, safe speed, official charts, local notices, or collision-regulation compliance.

The open-array radiator is designed for marine exposure, but long-term saltwater durability depends on correct mounting, compatible fasteners, drainage, periodic inspection, and manufacturer-approved maintenance. Rinse salt deposits with fresh water where appropriate, inspect the array surface, fasteners, pedestal joint, and mounting platform regularly, and use compatible marine-grade hardware plus isolation methods to reduce galvanic-corrosion risk.
