The Raymarine EV-100 Tiller Evolution Autopilot is a complete autopilot package for tiller-steered sailboats up to 6,000 kg, or 13,200 lb, displacement. It includes a removable tiller drive, EV-1 nine-axis sensor core, ACU-100 actuator control unit, p70s control head, and required Evolution network components. The tiller actuator connects directly between the cockpit mounting point and a compatible tiller pin.
The 12V system uses the ACU-100, which supports up to 7A continuous drive output. The tiller actuator delivers linear push-pull steering with a listed hardover-to-hardover time of approximately 7 seconds and a peak thrust rating of 85 kg, or 187 lb. The p70s provides a 3.5-inch color display and button-based control, while the EV-1 compensates for vessel pitch and roll during autopilot operation.
System Integration
This system is intended for vessels with conventional tiller steering, not wheel steering, hydraulic steering, or electronic steer-by-wire systems. Confirm the vessel displacement, tiller length, actuator mounting geometry, required pin positions, cockpit clearance, and full manual steering range before purchase.
The EV-1 sensor core, p70s display, ACU-100, and tiller drive form a complete autopilot package, but correct electrical wiring, cockpit mounting hardware, and any required SeaTalkng network extensions must still be planned around the vessel installation.
