The Raymarine EV-200 Sail Evolution Autopilot System, SKU T70155, is a core autopilot package for mid-size sailboats with compatible mechanical or hydraulic steering. It includes the EV-1 nine-axis sensor core, ACU-200 actuator control unit, p70s color control head, and Evolution cabling kit. A compatible Type 1 hydraulic pump, linear actuator, rotary drive, or other approved steering drive is sold separately, so this package is not a complete steering system.

The ACU-200 supports 12V or 24V DC systems and delivers up to 15A continuous drive output for correctly matched Type 1-class hydraulic pumps, linear drives, rotary drives, or geared motors. The p70s provides a 3.5-inch color display with button control, while the EV-1 provides heading and motion data. Select the separate drive based on vessel displacement, steering type, hydraulic-cylinder volume, actuator load, and electrical demand.

System Integration

This package requires a separately selected steering drive. For hydraulic steering, choose a pump that matches the actual steering-cylinder volume, system pressure, fittings, hose arrangement, and required flow. For mechanical steering, select a linear or rotary actuator based on vessel displacement, rudder torque, steering-arm geometry, stroke or torque requirement, and manual-steering arrangement.

Virtual Rudder Feedback may be available on suitable Evolution installations, but a physical rudder-feedback transducer can be required for some mechanical, hydraulic, linear-drive, and high-load sailing systems. Wind-vane steering also requires compatible wind data on the SeaTalkng or NMEA 2000 network.

Before Ordering

Confirm sailboat steering type, vessel displacement, selected Type 1 pump or approved mechanical drive, hydraulic-cylinder volume or linkage geometry, drive current at or below 15A continuous, 12V or 24V supply, ACU-200 mounting space, p70s helm-panel space, EV-1 sensor location, SeaTalkng network, wind-data requirement, physical-feedback requirement, and complete drive plus installation components before purchase.
