The Raymarine i40 Bidata is a compact instrument display for boats that want depth and speed visible together without dedicating the main chartplotter to gauge pages. Its segmented LCD fits the i-Series footprint and connects through SeaTalk or SeaTalkng. This display-only version is intended for an existing Raymarine sensor system, not as a complete depth and speed package.

The two data lines let the crew keep bottom depth and boat speed in view at the same time, while the 35-50mA draw is easy on a 12V electrical system. SeaTalkng can connect through a converter, so this model can suit an older Raymarine installation being brought into a newer network. No transducers are included, and the supplied specifications do not identify a direct NMEA 2000 port. Check the existing sensors and backbone before ordering.

Who Is This For?

This compact Raymarine depth and speed display suits cruising sailboats, small cruisers, and boats replacing an existing i40 Bidata. It is not ideal for buyers needing included sensors, charts, radar, or imaging sonar; the display depends on compatible external data sources.

Warranty & Support

Raymarine provides a 2-year standard warranty, or 3 years with registration as listed in the supplied specifications. Warranty exclusions and service procedures were not provided.

The i40 Bidata display is the compact choice when the boat already has compatible depth and speed sensors and needs both readings in one place. Its trade-off is the missing transducers and dependence on SeaTalk data. Choose it for an instrument replacement or network expansion, not for a complete ready-to-install depth and speed system.
