The Seatronx SLR-17 is a high-brightness marine monitor for an exposed flybridge, open center console, or offshore glass bridge. It is built to display a separate chartplotter, radar, or computer source, with no internal navigation or sonar software. The 17-inch size offers a useful balance between outdoor visibility and manageable helm installation.

The optically bonded IPS panel reaches 1500 cd/m² and provides 178-degree viewing angles, so the image remains easier to see when the operator is standing to one side of the helm. Two HDMI inputs, DVI-D, DisplayPort, VGA, and dual composite BNC inputs cover a wide range of source equipment. USB handles touch and RS-232 handles control. Continuous dimming and night modes make the display more usable after sunset.

Who Is This For?

This high-brightness marine display suits open flybridges, offshore sportfishing helms, tender dashboards, and large center consoles. It is not ideal for a buyer wanting built-in GPS, charts, sonar, or NMEA networking; all of those functions depend on the connected source system.

Warranty & Support

Seatronx provides a 2-year standard warranty. The supplied specifications do not state warranty exclusions or service procedures.

The SLR-17 is the better choice than a standard pilothouse monitor when direct sun is the main problem. Its 1500-nit panel, optical bonding, wide viewing angles, and night dimming suit an exposed helm. The trade-off is the 5:4 SXGA format, which may not fill a modern widescreen source as naturally as the SRT-24W Full HD display.
