The HALO20+ supports dual-range operation, MARPA tracking, Ethernet integration, and up to 36 NM of instrumented range.
Integration
The HALO20+ requires a compatible Simrad MFD and Ethernet network connection for radar video and control. NMEA 2000 can supply compatible GPS, heading, AIS, autopilot, and sensor data, but it does not carry radar video. MARPA and radar overlay require valid heading and position inputs.
VelocityTrack can help distinguish relative target movement through color-coded radar returns, but it does not guarantee target identification or collision avoidance. The 36 NM rating is instrumented range; real-world results vary with scanner height, target characteristics, rainfall, weather, sea state, clutter, settings, and installation quality.
