The Simrad IS35 is a compact digital instrument display for engine and boat data on a NMEA 2000 network. Its 3.5-inch optically bonded color LCD fits a small instrument pod or cockpit panel, while the low 1.3W maximum draw is easy on a 12V system. It can show compatible depth information, but it is not a chartplotter or sonar display.

The 320 x 240 screen keeps the instrument package small, and the IPX7 housing suits exposed marine mounting. One Micro-C NMEA 2000 connection carries the network data and power, so the IS35 depends on a correctly powered backbone and compatible PGNs. A depth transducer is not included; the display can only show depth when that information is already available on the network. There is no WiFi, Bluetooth, or standalone charting.

Who Is This For?

This compact NMEA 2000 instrument display suits cruisers, fishing boats, and cockpit pods that need engine or depth data always visible. It is not ideal for buyers wanting charts, radar, or fishfinder imaging, because those functions are not built into the IS35.

Warranty & Support

Simrad provides a 2-year standard warranty. The supplied specifications do not state warranty exclusions or service procedures.

The IS35 is a simple low-power data display, useful when the boat already has a NMEA 2000 network and the skipper wants depth or engine information in a dedicated location. The trade-off is its narrow role: it cannot replace a chartplotter or sonar. Choose it as an instrument repeater, not as the center of the boat’s navigation system.
