Simrad NSS12 evo3S Combo Multi-Function Chartplotter/Fishfinder Radar Bundle HALO20+ – No HDMI Video Outport

The Simrad NSS12 evo3S Halo20+ bundle combines a 12-inch SolarMAX IPS HybridTouch display with a HALO20+ pulse-compression dome radar rated to 36 nautical miles. Its built-in 1kW dual-channel CHIRP, Active Imaging, and ForwardScan support provide a broad navigation and fishfinding platform, but no transducer is included. The unit has no HDMI output port, so that limitation should be considered before planning a video system.

Who Is This For?

This bundle suits coastal cruisers, offshore fishing boats, and larger center consoles that need radar and chartplotting together on a 12-inch display. The included HALO20+ radar makes it more complete for offshore navigation than the display-only NSS12 evo3S.

It is not ideal for a small helm or buyers who need HDMI video output. A transducer is also not included, so the sonar installation still requires separate hardware.

Warranty & Support

Simrad provides a 2-year standard warranty with 5-year upgrade support as listed in the supplied specifications. No warranty exclusions or upgrade conditions were provided.

The NSS12 evo3S Halo20+ bundle is the right choice over the standard NSS12 evo3S when integrated radar is required immediately. The HALO20+ dome and 12-inch HybridTouch display create a useful offshore navigation package, but the missing transducer means sonar installation is not complete out of the box. The absence of HDMI output is the main limitation to check before choosing this model for a vessel with external video requirements.
