Digital Yacht AIS100 AIS Receiver

Add basic receive-only AIS awareness to a compatible navigation display with the Digital Yacht AIS100 AIS Receiver. Its dual-channel receiver listens to both AIS frequencies and sends target data through high-speed NMEA 0183, making it useful for older chartplotters, radar displays, and marine PCs that do not need to transmit the boat’s own AIS position. Need AIS targets without installing a transponder? The AIS100 provides continuous passive monitoring in a compact below-deck unit with low current draw.

Integration

The AIS100 needs a suitable AIS/VHF antenna or approved splitter and a compatible chartplotter, radar display, or PC with a 38,400-baud NMEA 0183 AIS input. It is not a transponder, VHF radio, GPS receiver, chartplotter, radar, or collision-avoidance device.

Since it is receive-only, other vessels cannot see your boat through this unit. AIS reception depends on antenna height, VHF signal conditions, local interference, distance, and other vessels transmitting valid AIS data. AIS does not show every vessel, buoy, floating object, or hazard.

Before Ordering

Confirm the connected display supports high-speed NMEA 0183 AIS input, select a suitable AIS antenna or splitter, verify dry mounting space, check 12V/24V power availability, and determine whether receive-only AIS meets the vessel’s needs before ordering.
