Furuno TZT22X 22 TZtouchXL MFD

A 22-inch chartplotter is large enough to become the main working display at an offshore helm without taking up as much bridge space as a 24-inch model. The Furuno TZT22X is designed for that middle ground. It gives serious fishing boats, commercial vessels, and large cruisers a bright Full HD navigation screen with the network connections needed to tie the rest of the boat together.

The 1200-nit IPS touchscreen is intended for clear daylight viewing, while the 1920 x 1080 resolution keeps radar, charts, and video pages readable across the whole display. Three Ethernet ports are useful on boats running more than one networked device. TZ MAPS handles compatible vector, raster, and satellite charts. Fishfinding comes from an external DFF Series sounder, which gives the installer freedom to match the sounder and transducer to the hull rather than settling for a fixed bundled package.

This large Furuno chartplotter display suits offshore sportfishers, commercial boats, and luxury cruisers with a glass bridge helm. It is not intended for compact consoles or buyers looking for a complete fishfinder package; DFF sounder and transducer hardware are separate.

The TZT22X is the more manageable alternative to the 24-inch TZT24X. You keep the same Full HD format, three LAN ports, TZ MAPS flexibility, and external DFF sonar approach, but it fits more bridge layouts and draws less power. The trade-off is screen area. Choose it when 22 inches is enough for the helm without committing to the larger 24-inch installation.
