The Garmin GLS 10 is the processing core for a Garmin LiveScope installation. It accepts LVS32, LVS34, and LVS62 transducers and sends the processed live sonar image to a compatible Garmin display through the Marine Network RJ45 connection. This is a black-box sonar module, not a screen or complete LiveScope system, so the display and transducer must be selected separately.

The GLS 10 supports a plug-and-play setup with the listed LiveScope transducers and runs from 10-32V DC, which suits both 12V and 24V boat systems. A diagnostic LED on the housing helps with basic status checks during installation. The most important compatibility check is the Garmin display and transducer pairing. A GLS 10 cannot create a usable live image without an LVS32, LVS34, or LVS62 and a compatible Garmin MFD.

Who Is This For?

This Garmin LiveScope module suits boat owners adding live sonar to a compatible Garmin GPSMAP or ECHOMAP system. It is not ideal as a standalone purchase for a buyer without an LVS transducer and supported display, because the GLS 10 has no screen or charting functions.

Warranty & Support

Garmin provides a 1-year limited warranty. The supplied specifications do not state warranty exclusions or service procedures.

The GLS 10 is the required processing box for a Garmin LiveScope installation, but it is not the part to buy in isolation unless the display and LVS transducer are already sorted. Its trade-off is simple: it offers flexible transducer choices, but compatibility must be checked across the whole Garmin network. Choose it for a planned LiveScope system.
