The Garmin GMR Fantom 6 Foot Open Array Antenna, SKU 010-01708-01, is a six-foot open-array antenna bar for a compatible Garmin Fantom radar pedestal. It is not a complete radar system and does not include the pedestal, radar transmitter, power cable, Garmin chartplotter, network hardware, or mounting platform. When paired with a supported Fantom pedestal, the six-foot array provides a narrow beamwidth for improved angular target separation.
The 6 ft radiator bar is designed for compatible Fantom open-array radar systems and receives its operating power through the paired pedestal. Radar technology, transmit power, maximum instrumented range, rotation speed, Doppler functions, bird-finding mode, and target-tracking capability depend on the exact Fantom pedestal model selected. Confirm pedestal compatibility and full system configuration before purchase.
Radar Integration
This antenna bar must be paired with a compatible Garmin Fantom pedestal and Garmin chartplotter or multifunction display that supports the selected radar model. Garmin Marine Network Ethernet carries radar data to the compatible display; NMEA 2000 may support connected sensors and device data but is not the primary radar-video link.
Features such as MotionScope Doppler, MARPA, echo trails, bird-finding mode, target tracking, and maximum instrumented range vary by pedestal model and display configuration. MARPA and radar-overlay functions can require a compatible heading source, GPS data, and correct network setup.
