The Phasor K2-4.5PMG is a compact 4.5 kW marine diesel generator for vessels using 120V or 240V single-phase 60Hz AC power. It uses a Kubota Z602-E4B two-cylinder diesel engine and a single-bearing direct-coupled permanent-magnet generator. The standard unit operates at 1,800 RPM, not 3,600 RPM, and is designed as a low-speed marine generator with a water-cooled engine and wet-exhaust system.

The K2-4.5PMG is ignition protected to SAE J1171 and includes automatic safety shutdown for low oil pressure and high coolant temperature. It can be supplied in open-frame form or with an optional sound enclosure, depending on the selected package. The generator requires a complete marine installation including fuel, raw-water cooling, exhaust, ventilation, battery starting, AC distribution, shore-power transfer, grounding, and circuit protection.

System Integration

This generator requires a marine diesel fuel feed and return, raw-water intake and strainer, wet exhaust, ventilation, start battery, AC distribution panel, transfer switch or shore-power interlock, grounding and bonding, circuit protection, and correctly rated 120V or 240V 60Hz cabling. Confirm whether the vessel needs 120V, 240V, or split-phase distribution before ordering.

The generator’s 4.5 kW capacity must be evaluated against normal demand and motor-starting surge. Consider battery chargers, refrigeration, water pumps, air conditioning, galley appliances, and other motor-driven loads. Optional sound-enclosure requirements should also be confirmed for the intended installation environment.

Before Ordering

Confirm required continuous and surge load within 4.5 kW, 120V or 240V single-phase 60Hz compatibility, available mounting space, structural support for approximately 132 kg, required open-frame or sound-enclosure configuration, diesel fuel layout, raw-water intake, exhaust route, ventilation capacity, starting-battery circuit, AC distribution and transfer-switch design, grounding plan, service access, and qualified marine-generator installation requirements before purchase.
