The Raymarine EV-100 Wheel Autopilot p70s Corepack, SKU T70152, is a complete cockpit autopilot package for wheel-steered sailboats up to 7,500 kg, or 16,500 lb, displacement. It includes an externally mounted EV-100 wheel drive, ACU-100 actuator control unit, EV-1 nine-axis sensor core, and p70s color autopilot control head. The wheel drive mounts directly to the steering-wheel spokes for a practical retrofit without modifying the vessel’s primary steering system. [305][312]

The 12V ACU-100 provides up to 7A continuous drive output and works specifically with Raymarine wheel, tiller, and 0.5 L hydraulic-drive applications. The EV-1 sensor core continuously monitors vessel motion, while the p70s supplies a dedicated color display and button-based helm control. Raymarine’s Evolution system is designed to simplify setup, but correct wheel-drive fitment, sensor placement, network wiring, and final steering checks remain essential. [305][311]

System Integration

This package is intended for wheel-steered sailboats, not hydraulic-only steering arrangements or heavy linear-drive installations. Confirm steering-wheel diameter, hub clearance, spoke arrangement, wheel-pedestal geometry, drive-belt path, manual clutch access, steering friction, and vessel displacement before purchase.

The EV-1 sensor core should be mounted low in the vessel, close to the centreline, away from magnetic interference, engines, speakers, high-current wiring, and major vibration. The ACU-100 requires a dry, accessible location with 12V power, SeaTalkng connections, and correctly protected wheel-drive wiring. Configure the system and verify all steering functions in a controlled sea trial after installation.

Before Ordering

Confirm a compatible wheel-steered sailboat up to 16,500 lb, suitable steering-wheel and spoke fitment, 12V supply, 7A ACU-100 drive capacity, p70s helm-panel space, EV-1 sensor location, SeaTalkng or NMEA 2000 network arrangement, ACU-100 mounting location, full manual steering access, and complete installation requirements before purchase.
