The SI-TEX GPS-915, also sold as the Koden KGP-915, is a dedicated marine GPS navigator and track plotter with a bright 4.3-inch color display and numeric keypad. It uses a 72-channel GPS receiver to provide vessel position, speed, course, navigation data, waypoint management, routes, and ship’s trail information. This is a dedicated GPS navigator, not a chartplotter with electronic chart-card support, sonar, fish-finder, radar, or AIS receiver functions.

The unit stores up to 10,000 waypoints, 100 routes with up to 50 points each, and 3,000 ship’s-trail points. It includes a GA-09 GPS antenna and provides two NMEA 0183 data ports for connection to compatible navigation electronics. The GPS-915 operates from 10.8V to 31.2V DC, supports bail mounting, and requires a properly installed antenna with a clear view of the sky.

System Integration

The GPS-915 is a standalone GPS navigator that can share compatible NMEA 0183 navigation data with autopilots, VHF radios, AIS equipment, or other marine electronics. It does not provide NMEA 2000 connectivity, built-in sonar, transducer support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, radar control, or electronic chart-card compatibility.

The included GA-09 antenna must be mounted with a clear sky view and routed away from strong electrical interference. Route navigation and waypoint information depend on accurate GPS reception and correct NMEA 0183 wiring to any connected device.

Before Ordering

Confirm that a standalone GPS navigator without chart cards or sonar meets your needs, verify the included GA-09 antenna, required NMEA 0183 device connections, available 10.8V to 31.2V power supply, bail or flush-mount requirements, display and antenna mounting locations, cable-routing needs, waypoint and route capacity, and complete navigation-system requirements before purchase.
