The Simrad A2004 Autopilot Control Display is a professional dedicated control interface for compatible Simrad autopilot systems. It provides a bonded color display, rotary control dial, and keypad for heading adjustment, mode selection, turn patterns, and monitoring of connected steering information. This is a display-only product and does not include a course computer, steering drive, heading sensor, rudder-feedback sensor, hydraulic pump, or complete autopilot system.

The A2004 connects to a compatible Simrad autopilot network through NMEA 2000 Micro-C and is intended for use with matching AC70, AC80, NAC-3, or other supported professional autopilot computers. It can be flush-, panel-, or bracket-mounted, and its weather-protected front face is suited to a protected helm or bridge location. Confirm the exact existing course computer, software compatibility, network layout, and required steering functions before purchase.

System Integration

The A2004 sends commands through the network to a compatible autopilot computer; it does not directly operate the steering pump, solenoids, linear actuator, or thruster. Drive capacity, heading accuracy, feedback support, and NMEA 0183 connectivity depend on the selected course computer and the complete autopilot installation.

The display can be used with compatible heading sources, including a Precision-9, GPS compass, or another approved sensor. Route navigation, turn patterns, and thruster functions require compatible data sources, steering hardware, and correct system configuration.

Before Ordering

Confirm a compatible Simrad autopilot computer, NMEA 2000 backbone, 12V or 24V network power, available 170 mm by 114 mm panel space, rear cable clearance, required heading source, steering drive, feedback method, display software compatibility, and complete autopilot-system components before purchase.
