Need stronger Class B AIS output without adding a separate antenna? The B954 supports NMEA 2000, dual NMEA 0183 ports, USB, and mobile connectivity in a compact IP67-rated enclosure.
Integration
The B954 requires a compatible VHF radio, a suitable shared VHF antenna, valid MMSI/static vessel data, and an MFD, chartplotter, computer, or mobile app to view AIS targets. It is not a VHF voice radio, radar, chartplotter, EPIRB, or collision-avoidance guarantee.
The integrated splitter reduces the need for a separate AIS antenna, but all antenna, VHF radio, and AIS connections must follow the manufacturer wiring diagram. Class B SOTDMA offers higher output and more structured time-slot access than standard 2W CSTDMA equipment, but AIS performance still depends on VHF coverage and accurate data from other transmitters.
