Need traffic awareness without transmitting your boat’s own position? The R300 is a receive-only AIS unit with low power draw, LED diagnostics, and an IP67 enclosure for protected marine installation.
Integration
The R300 needs a suitable AIS/VHF antenna or approved antenna splitter plus a compatible MFD, chartplotter, radar display, or navigation computer. It is not an AIS transceiver, VHF voice radio, GPS receiver, chartplotter, radar, or emergency beacon. Because it only receives AIS, it does not make the vessel visible to other AIS-equipped traffic.
AIS reception depends on antenna height, antenna condition, local VHF interference, terrain, distance, and other vessels transmitting accurate data. AIS does not identify every vessel, buoy, floating object, or navigation hazard and should be used alongside radar, charts, visual lookout, and safe operating practices.
