The integrated platform gives boaters voice communications, Class D DSC, AIS target reception, and 2W AIS position transmission without installing separate radio and AIS hardware. Integration
The X100 requires an appropriate VHF/AIS antenna arrangement, valid MMSI programming, and compatible chartplotter or display connections for AIS target presentation. Confirm whether the installation uses separate VHF and AIS antennas or a manufacturer-approved antenna splitter. It is not a radar, chartplotter, EPIRB, or guaranteed collision-avoidance system.
Class D DSC requires a correctly programmed MMSI and valid GPS position data. In the U.S., use Channel 16 for distress, safety, and calling, and keep Channel 70 reserved for DSC rather than voice traffic. [928][932] AIS availability depends on other vessels transmitting correct information and does not represent every vessel or hazard.
