Raymarine EV-300 Power Solenoid Evolution Autopilot

Constant-running pump systems on luxury motor yachts link to this Raymarine EV-300 Power marine autopilot, which uses an ACU-300 unit to manage hydraulic solenoid valves with 9-axis Evolution AI processing across 12V or 24V networks.

  • ACU-300 unit controls constant-running hydraulic solenoids
  • EV-1 sensor core tracks real-time pitch and roll
  • p70Rs rotary controller allows fine heading changes
  • SeaTalkng bus provides robust digital networking
  • IPX7 waterproof sensor withstands wet bilge environments

The Raymarine EV-300 Power Solenoid Evolution Autopilot is a core autopilot package for vessels fitted with solenoid-controlled electro-hydraulic steering or compatible constant-running hydraulic pumps. It includes the p70Rs rotary autopilot controller, EV-1 nine-axis sensor core, ACU-300 actuator control unit, and Evolution cabling kit. A compatible constant-running pump, solenoid steering gear, hydraulic components, and vessel-specific installation hardware are required separately.

The ACU-300 connects directly to compatible steering-gear solenoids and supports Raymarine or third-party constant-running hydraulic drive systems. It operates from 12V or 24V DC and provides solenoid-drive control rather than direct high-current motor-drive output. The p70Rs supplies a dedicated color display with rotary control, while the EV-1 provides heading and motion data for the completed Evolution autopilot system.

System Integration

This package is designed for solenoid-controlled steering—not a conventional reversible pump, wheel drive, tiller drive, or direct mechanical actuator. Confirm that the vessel has compatible normally open or normally closed steering solenoids, a suitable constant-running pump, appropriate hydraulic pressure and flow characteristics, required safety systems, and a correctly engineered steering-gear interface.

Virtual Rudder Feedback may be used on suitable installations, but commercial and complex hydraulic steering systems can require physical rudder feedback. Confirm required feedback, steering-gear alarms, hydraulic plumbing, solenoid voltage and current, power supply, and control-system requirements before purchase.

Before Ordering

Confirm a compatible solenoid-controlled electro-hydraulic steering system, constant-running pump type, solenoid voltage and current, hydraulic pressure and flow requirements, 12V or 24V supply, ACU-300 mounting space, p70Rs helm-panel space, EV-1 sensor location, SeaTalkng network, physical-feedback requirement, safety-system compatibility, and complete hydraulic installation components before purchase.
