Veratron NMEA 2000 Wind Sensor – 9 to 16V

The Veratron NMEA 2000 Wind Sensor is a masthead transducer for boats that want wind speed and direction available directly on an NMEA 2000 network. It has no display, charting, or wireless radio. The 445mm arm places the sensor above the masthead, while the single Micro-C connection keeps the wiring familiar for a modern sailing instrument installation.

The sensor runs from 9-16V through NMEA 2000 and draws less than 50mA, with a LEN of 1. That keeps its network load small when added to an existing backbone. IPX6 and IPX7 protection suit exposed masthead service, and the 445mm arm provides the listed mounting length. A compatible NMEA 2000 display, backbone, and masthead mounting arrangement are still required; the sensor cannot show wind readings on its own.
