VTE Paguro 3 SY – 3kVA Compact Marine Generator 3000 RPM

The VTE Paguro 3 SY is an ultra-compact 3 kVA marine diesel generator for vessels requiring 230V, 50Hz single-phase AC power with limited engine-room space. It produces 2.8 kW continuous output and uses a Yanmar L70N single-cylinder diesel engine with a soundproof fiberglass enclosure. It is suited to modest onboard electrical loads such as battery charging, refrigeration, lighting, electronics, and other loads that remain within the generator’s continuous and surge capacity.

The generator operates at 3,000 RPM and uses marine diesel fuel. It has a listed fuel consumption of approximately 0.8 L per hour at 75% load and a stated noise level of approximately 53 dB(A) at 7 m. The package includes a remote start-stop control panel and harness, while fuel supply, exhaust, seawater cooling, AC distribution, starting battery, ventilation, and installation hardware must be designed around the vessel.

System Integration

This generator is not a complete onboard AC electrical installation. It requires an appropriately designed diesel fuel system, seawater intake and strainer, exhaust system, ventilation, starting battery, AC distribution panel, shore-power transfer or interlock arrangement, grounding plan, circuit protection, and suitable cabling. Use qualified marine installation and commissioning practices.

Confirm that onboard electrical demand remains within the 2.8 kW continuous rating. Consider the combined operation and starting surge of battery chargers, refrigeration compressors, air-conditioning units, water pumps, galley appliances, and other motor loads. The generator should not be selected from nominal appliance wattage without allowing for simultaneous demand and inrush current.
