The VTE Paguro 8500 is a low-speed marine diesel generator for 60Hz single-phase AC systems. In its documented 60Hz configuration, it delivers 8.5 kW continuous output at 1,800 RPM and uses a Lombardini LDW 1404 four-cylinder diesel engine with a water-cooled brushless synchronous alternator. The low-speed configuration is intended for vessels that require 115V or 115/230V single-phase 60Hz onboard power with a sound-insulated generator enclosure.
The generator uses freshwater cooling through a heat exchanger, raw-water circulation, and a stainless-steel water-cooled alternator exchanger. It includes 12V electric start, an 8A battery charger, remote control, automatic start, hour meter, load indicator, and automatic shutdown for low oil pressure or over-temperature.
